Life in General

Correction to one of my other posts: my biology partner's family didn't have the flu, they just had a stomach bug. :) Now that I got that cleared up...

It's been a while since I've posted about what I've been up to. So, here goes.

I've dissected three things already. A clam, a worm, and a crayfish. 8-P And this week I've been working on a graduation slideshow for a girl at church. I've also managed to make some progress on my book. I got all the characters through another hour and a half of their life. :) Not much, but it's something. I can't think of what else I've been doing... According to my teacher, I'm flying through violin lessons. I can now play twinkle twinkle little star. :) I'm really enjoying it. Oh, and I made toxic lemon squares the other night. I used the natural sugar in them and then decided that they didn't look yellow enough, so I put food coloring in it. Lets just say that lemon juice and food coloring don't mix. :D Yesterday Mom and I went on a golf cart ride trying to get to a house outside the city limits. We went up and down hills and up and down hills, and then we came to the hill to beat them all. It's really steep and it comes to a T at the bottom. I don't like that hill. And then we came to another hill that beat the first one. We ended up not being able to figure out how to get to the other subdivision, so we had to just turn around and go home. We found a route around the second hill, but we couldn't find a way around that first hill. So we just tried to make it up that hill. We made it part of the way up, but we got stuck at a bump. Mom got off and tried to push, but the golf cart got stuck at the next bump and wouldn't go any further. So I rolled down the hill backwards and backed up down the path a little ways. Then I floored it and flew around the curve and up the hill hoping it would make it. Needless to say, it didn't. So I got off too and went over to the passenger side. Mom held down the gas pedal while we both pushed and it got over the bump. We wanted to get it all the way up the hill, so we kept going. Neither of us was steering, so after a while it started coming over towards me. I told Mom, so she stopped pushing the gas pedal. Mind you, neither of us was on the golf cart. The cart stopped for just an instant and then started rolling backwards. Mom quickly put the parking brake on, so it didn't get very far. After that, we made it the rest of the way up the hill. And surpisingly we made it home on only one bar even though we were well below half.

Well, that's about all that's been happening around here. For those of you who like pictures, I'll put a couple up, but then I should be going.

Wow I bet you guys were tired after the fiasco with the golf cart...I wish I could have filmed you and sent it to funniest videos we could have made some money on that one!! I am still working on my manuscript too...just remember you don't have to account for every second of every day...just the scenes that move your story forward...if it doesn't move the action or dialogue or narration forward than take it out. Just passing on what I've learned. Please share what you have learned about writing with me. :)
Hugs! Pamela

Sarah,
Something like that *would* have to happen with your family! I can easily visualize the whole scene. Keep up the writing!!
