They Say Time Heals All Wounds

I say not. Time makes wounds worse. Only God can heal wounds. And sometimes He sees fit to leave the wounds. They're for our best. They sure do hurt, though.

Ugh.

Blogger is having a photo problem. It won't let me see half of my pictures and it won't let me upload any. Blogger's technical team needs to get busy and fix the problem.

Just Brilliant

It's good to know where to find something you don't know. Most people (and I do it too) look things up on the internet. It can be very helpful sometimes. But I think the below is a little overkill. Judge for yourself.

From http://familydoctor.org/online/famdocen/home/tools/symptom/545.html:

35. Do you have a blue or black area on your skin, and did the discoloration occur after the area had been hit?

If you answer yes, this is the wisdom they share.

This is probably a BRUISE.

Naw, really, you don't say. :)

Busy, Busy, Busy... March Edition :)

Well, we're pretty busy again. We've been busy this week and we're not about to stop. Tomorrow we go to church in the morning and since we have something over there in the afternoon, we're just staying all day at church, and then after the other thing in the afternoon, we're going back to church for the Soup and Study. And our calendar is pretty much filled up for March. We're only thirteen days into it, but on our calendar we only have three un-busy days left. We'll see how long those last. :) Well, technically we have four un-busy days, but one of those is staying un-busy. That day is my birthday. :) Nothing excting's going to happen though. It's not a big year. Just a family day with dinner at a restaurant that we don't get to eat at very often because no one else really likes it. But they'll live with it for one night for me. :) Well, I better get running. We have something to do this afternoon. :)

The Evolution of a Math Problem

This is for those of you like my sister who absolutely love math. :)

The problems start out looking like this:

Then you work the problems like this:

And the final product looks like this:

And for those of you who really like doing problems, here's a fun one. :)

Two numbers, both under 1000, are only one number apart. The lowest common multiple of the two numbers is 996003 more than the higher number. What are the two numbers?

You can leave your answers in the comments, and eventually I'll tell y'all the right answer. :)

LOL

I was cleaning out the stuff under my bed when I found the obituary I wrote for my hamster. Thought y'all might enjoy it. I sure got a good laugh out of it.

Clover Honey, also known as Critter and Girl, died in her sleep, peacefully, the evening of Saturday, January 19, 2008. She is missed. Cause of death was determined as old age.

Life in General

Correction to one of my other posts: my biology partner's family didn't have the flu, they just had a stomach bug. :) Now that I got that cleared up...

It's been a while since I've posted about what I've been up to. So, here goes.

I've dissected three things already. A clam, a worm, and a crayfish. 8-P And this week I've been working on a graduation slideshow for a girl at church. I've also managed to make some progress on my book. I got all the characters through another hour and a half of their life. :) Not much, but it's something. I can't think of what else I've been doing... According to my teacher, I'm flying through violin lessons. I can now play twinkle twinkle little star. :) I'm really enjoying it. Oh, and I made toxic lemon squares the other night. I used the natural sugar in them and then decided that they didn't look yellow enough, so I put food coloring in it. Lets just say that lemon juice and food coloring don't mix. :D Yesterday Mom and I went on a golf cart ride trying to get to a house outside the city limits. We went up and down hills and up and down hills, and then we came to the hill to beat them all. It's really steep and it comes to a T at the bottom. I don't like that hill. And then we came to another hill that beat the first one. We ended up not being able to figure out how to get to the other subdivision, so we had to just turn around and go home. We found a route around the second hill, but we couldn't find a way around that first hill. So we just tried to make it up that hill. We made it part of the way up, but we got stuck at a bump. Mom got off and tried to push, but the golf cart got stuck at the next bump and wouldn't go any further. So I rolled down the hill backwards and backed up down the path a little ways. Then I floored it and flew around the curve and up the hill hoping it would make it. Needless to say, it didn't. So I got off too and went over to the passenger side. Mom held down the gas pedal while we both pushed and it got over the bump. We wanted to get it all the way up the hill, so we kept going. Neither of us was steering, so after a while it started coming over towards me. I told Mom, so she stopped pushing the gas pedal. Mind you, neither of us was on the golf cart. The cart stopped for just an instant and then started rolling backwards. Mom quickly put the parking brake on, so it didn't get very far. After that, we made it the rest of the way up the hill. And surpisingly we made it home on only one bar even though we were well below half.

Well, that's about all that's been happening around here. For those of you who like pictures, I'll put a couple up, but then I should be going.

Bring the Rain

I came across this video today and it instantly became my favorite. It's worth the 4 1/2 minutes.
